Who we see
What brings people to us
A list of what patients notice, and what we check. It is not a list of diagnoses, and it is not a promise of what sessions will do.
Eyes that tire or blur at close work
We check focusing and eye teaming, and whether your glasses are right.
Losing your place when you read
We check tracking and how your eyes shift from word to word and line to line.
Double vision that comes and goes
We check how your eyes line up. New or sudden double vision needs a medical visit first.
Eye strain or light sensitivity after a head injury
Your medical doctor sees you first. With their go-ahead, we test how your eyes team, focus and track, and send our findings back.
Headaches that come with reading or screens
We check whether the eyes are part of it, and tell you when they are not.
A busy room that feels hard to look at
We check the eye side and refer you on for the rest.
- Sudden vision loss, flashes of light, a curtain over your vision, a chemical splash or an eye injury needs care now. Call our office right away or go to an emergency room. If you can't reach us, call 911.
Not our work
What we refer to other clinicians
Eye disease
Glaucoma, cataracts, retinal problems and infections go to a medical eye doctor, and we say so.
Medication and operations
If a finding calls for either, we refer you to a medical eye doctor and send our notes.
Brain injury recovery
Your medical team leads. We work on the visual part, and we write to them.
Not sure it fits?
Call the office and describe what you notice. The coordinator will tell you whether an evaluation makes sense.
