Step two
Your plan, in writing
The doctor writes it after the evaluation, in plain words, so you and your referrer can read the same page.
- 01
What we will train
The skills the evaluation pointed to, such as focusing, eye teaming or tracking, in the order we will work on them.
- 02
How a first block runs
How often we meet and for how long a first block lasts. It is set after your evaluation, not before, and it is a starting point.
- 03
Home practice
A short routine for the days between sessions, sized to your schedule. We would rather you do a little often than a lot once.
- 04
How we check progress
We repeat the key measurements at progress visits with the doctor and show you what changed and what did not.
- 05
Who hears about it
With your permission, your referrer gets the plan and each progress note.
- 06
When we stop or refer
If a block is not helping, we say so and either change the plan or send you to someone who can help.
What a plan does not do
A plan is not a promise. Some people notice a difference after a block of sessions, some notice a little and some do not. Results vary, and we tell you what we see at every progress visit.
The plan covers the visual side of what you are dealing with. It does not replace care from your medical doctor, your therapists or your counselors, and we say so in the plan we send them.
About the plan
Can I change my mind?
Yes. You can pause or stop at any visit. We will tell you what we would suggest and why.
Is the plan billed?
The written plan is part of the evaluation. Sessions are billed as they happen, and we explain what to expect before you begin.
See what the plan would look like
The evaluation ends with a plan, or with a referral if sessions are not the right fit.
