Step three
What a session looks like
Sessions run about 45 minutes, with a vision therapy assistant, in a quiet room. The doctor checks in at progress visits.
- 01
Step 1: Warm-up
A few minutes to settle in and tell us how your eyes have felt since last time.
- 02
Step 2: The work
Focused tasks with targets, lenses, prisms and a screen. We change the difficulty as you go, so it stays hard enough to matter and easy enough to finish.
- 03
Step 3: Debrief
What felt harder, what felt easier and what we will change next time.
- 04
Step 4: Take-home routine
A short set of exercises for the days between sessions, written down.
Plainly
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise that sessions will change your symptoms, or how long a change will last. Sessions can be tiring, and some days feel harder than others. Tell us when it does, and we adjust.
Results vary. At each progress visit the doctor repeats the key measurements and tells you what they show, including when they show little.
About sessions
How is a session billed?
Sessions are not a routine vision plan benefit. Some medical plans pay part of them, and the coordinator checks before you start. How fees work has the details.
Can a teen come after school?
Yes. We hold late afternoon times for students, and the coordinator will tell you what is open.
What if I miss a session?
Call us and we will find another time. The plan can flex; it just takes longer.
What do I bring?
Your glasses or contact lenses, and your home routine sheet if you have one.
Ask about sessions
Start with an evaluation. The plan tells you what sessions would involve for you.
